Earn cash back for shopping. Earning cash back on your purchases is a smart idea, and credit card rewards aren’t the only good cash-back strategy out there. With sites like ShopAtHome.com, eBates.com, and TopCashBack.com, you can earn up to 10% cash back on purchases made with approved merchants. Many frequent shoppers also love the Ibotta app, which lets you earn cash-back on every purchase.
Thanks for sharing these great tips last August! I’ve recently adopted them and I have a question (that’s kind of connected to the last post): how important would promoting content be when using this strategy? For example, through Google Adwords. As I guess that would depend on the circumstances, but I am trying to discover if there’s a ‘formula’ here. Thanks in advance!
This Lockbox Services Agreement (“Lockbox Agreement”) governs Customer’s use of the Lockbox Services (the “Service” in this Lockbox Agreement) in association with Customer’s deposit accounts with Bank (collectively, the “Account”). By using the Service, Customer agrees to the terms and conditions of this Lockbox Agreement and all exhibits, schedules, appendices, addenda and other attachments hereto, which are part of this Lockbox Agreement. In the event of a conflict between the terms of this Lockbox Agreement and the terms of the Access Agreement., this Lockbox Agreement will control to the extent of such conflict. The terms “we,” “us,” “our,” “River City Bank,” and “Bank” refer to River City Bank. “Customer”, “you” and “your” refer to the party in whose name an Account is maintained, each signer on each deposit or other account through which the Service are accessed or used, including those specified on Attachment A hereto, and all owners of those accounts (collectively, the “Account”). The term “Access Agreement” means the Online Cash Management Access Agreement between Bank and you to which this Lockbox Agreement is attached.
Wow Brian, You have solved my problem. A few days back I was looking for ways to increase traffic on my tech blog, I found this blog post by you while I was looking out for possible tricks to increase traffic. I must say that few of the tricks mentioned above really worked for me. For example, I updated a few old posts on my blog, I did try the broken link building technique and the last I did was to repost my content on Medium.
In the screenshot below, we searched for information for the keyword “Types of Leather” using Ahrefs Link Explorer. As you can see, the top ranking content mostly consists of blog posts. That means people like to read about different types of leather. In other words, there is a realistic chance of ranking content organically for this keyword, provided you come up with better blog posts than there already are.
Webinars are quite possibly one of the most potent ways you can make an exorbitant amount of money online. Russell Brunson often says that if you do a webinar every single week for a year, you'll be a millionaire at the end of it. You'll need an audience to train and you'll need to know what you're talking about. Of course, this usually requires having a website and some semblance of an online presence.
One of the most beautiful and exciting qualities about blogging is that you can create a blog that deals with any subject area that you are either knowledgeable or passionate about (and preferably both!). You can write about personal finance, careers, real estate, getting into business, technology, cooking, travel, personal health, or just about any topic you choose.

One such additional security precaution is dual control. The term “dual control” refers to a process in which the active involvement of two people is required to complete a particular transaction. Dual control is one of the foundations of online banking and information security because it is based upon the premise that both parties would have to be in collusion for a security breach to occur. The system enables your Authorized Agents to set rights and privileges for your users to be initiators and/or approvers of online banking transactions. If dual control is implemented, then a transaction requires one individual to initiate the transaction and a separate individual to approve the transaction in order for Bank to process the transaction. Because no one security method or combination of methods is failsafe, you must ensure that your network and all computer systems are updated, protected against intrusion and otherwise administered in accord with best practices.
Better yet, you can even upload your own book to one of the world’s largest book sellers: Amazon. With Amazon self-publishing, you set the price, retain the rights to your book, and get access to Amazon’s massive audience. For every sale, you keep 70% with Amazon taking the remainder as a fee. If you want to get started, check out Leslie Samuel's great guide to selling eBooks online or follow Tara Gentile on CreativeLive as she shows you how to use your existing body of work to write an eBook within the next week. Who knows, you might just write one of the best business books of this year!
The term was first used by Internet theorist John Kilroy in a 2004 article on paid search marketing. Because the distinction is important (and because the word "organic" has many metaphorical uses) the term is now in widespread use within the search engine optimization and web marketing industry. As of July 2009, "organic search" is now common currency outside the specialist web marketing industry, even used frequently by Google (throughout the Google Analytics site, for instance).
Rent out a room on Airbnb. Living near a tourist area has its perks, including the prospect of renting out a room for a profit. With home sharing sites like Airbnb, you can rent out a room in your home – or even the entire place – for a day, a week, or longer. If you have extra space and might enjoy the company of travelers, renting out a room is great way to earn some extra money with little effort on your part. See our post, “How to Make Money as an AirBNB Host.”
A site called User Testing will actually pay you a fee to evaluate websites. It typically pays you $10 for each video that you review – which typically takes about 20 minutes. If the work is there, and you are particularly good at it, you could earn up to $30 per hour. That’s a pretty solid pay rate for a work-at-home job. You wouldn’t have to work a whole lot of hours to generate a decent part-time monthly income.
If you have a new blog or a blog that is barely getting any visitors or hits, then you should consider putting more effort into your SEO learning. Organic traffic is considered to be the best and easiest way to grab visitors and readers in the long term. When your visitors search for something online and they find your blog or content, they are more likely to convert into long-term clients. Typically a client will type a search term into Google and your blog should be among the few on the first page.
Great article, I have tried a few over the years. I had a side business cleaning offices for years. It did great, but I hated never being able to take more than 3-4 days vacation, so I eventually gave up. I tried MTurk, but if you multiplied my earnings on an hourly basis, it was a little over $6/hr. My blog is much worse, probably less than $0.25/hr.
Ask for a raise. If you’re unhappy with your compensation at your 9-5 job, asking for a raise is one way to beef up your bank account. Most employers offer an annual review of your work – which could be the perfect time to negotiate a higher salary or ask for better perks. If your employer doesn’t offer such an opportunity, it might be time to initiate a review yourself.
You have agreed to our standard procedures and set forth your choices regarding the additional security procedures as set forth on Attachment A to this EFT Agreement. You have reviewed various security procedures including the foregoing and have determined that the Security Procedures best meet your requirements given the size, type and frequency of the payment orders you will issue to Bank, and agree that they are commercially reasonable. By continuing to use Bank’s EFT Services after notice of any modification of the Security Procedures, you agree to such Security Procedures, as modified, and acknowledge that they are commercially reasonable. The Security Procedures are incorporated by reference and made part of this EFT Agreement. You agree to keep the Security Procedures confidential and to not disclose the Security Procedures to anyone except to your Authorized Agents. If you or any of your Authorized Agents have reason to believe that a Security Procedure may have been learned by an unauthorized person, you agree to notify Bank immediately by telephone and in writing. You, for yourself and each of your Authorized Agents, agree that Bank, in its sole discretion, may record any telephone conversation between you or any Authorized Agent and Bank.
I find it interesting that you talked about nutrition supplements for athletes. I am very close to launching such a product for enhancing aerobic exercise performance in women (ie. improved times in a 3 mile run).. The product contains no stimulants or exotic herbs. In fact three of the five ingredients are well known minerals, but in forms not found in most multi-vitamin-mineral supplements. The research behind the product comes from me. The credibility behind the research is that I am a professor of human nutrition with over 100 research papers. Now, the trick will be to use my connections and credibility in a business savvy way.
Bank recognizes that our customers and others visiting our website have an expectation of their privacy in their dealings with us. For these reasons, River City Bank takes security and privacy of our customer information very seriously. You understand that in addition to information furnished pursuant to legal process, some information about your Accounts and Loans may be disclosed to others. For example, the tax laws require disclosure to the government of the amount of the interest you earn, and some transactions, such as certain large currency and foreign transactions, must be reported to the government. Bank may also provide information about your Accounts and Loans to persons or companies Bank believes would use the information for reasonable purposes, such as when a prospective creditor seeks to verify information you may have given in a credit application or a merchant calls to verify a check you have written.
What a huge, great list of ideas – bookmarked this as I know I’ll be coming back to go over it again and again. Here’s another item that could have made the list. I found a financial directory that’s useful for info on making money online. It’s http://money.madbeetech.com. What I like about it is that each directory listing includes ebooks and videos that can be instantly downloaded. All sorts of stuff for people who have their own website, and people who don’t (but still want to make money online).
Creating your own food blog, will not only be fun but done well it should also be profitable. Link your site to affiliate cooking products, sell your food photos, create and sell your own physical cookbook, or launch a cooking app. Equally, you could turn your cooking blog into a membership site. You would then share all your content, including recipes, how to videos, food photographs, and much more, with only your paid up members.
Mechanical Turk: Amazon's Mechanical Turk is a resource for doing human-intelligence tasks, or as the site commonly refers to them, HITs. You get paid a very small fee for any given HIT and you'll need a good deal of volume to make a substantial amount of money. But it is a resource you can use in your spare time to generate a small income online.
Starting a podcast, like making a YouTube channel or blog, comes down to telling interesting stories and building an engaged audience. I’m probably sounding like a broken record by now, but you need a niche that you’re interested in and there’s already a demand for. Come up with a list of topics you’d like to talk about and then search iTunes charts, Google Trends and other podcast research sites like cast.market to see what’s currently out there and popular.
Drop shipping is another great ‘hands-off’ way to sell products. Firstly you will need to find businesses that sell products in your niche that offer a drop shipping service. Then you will need to create a website promoting and selling the products. When you make a sale, you take the payment on your site and then the manufacturer ships the goods to the buyer. The profit comes from charging a higher rate than the manufacturer, and if you are selling a high number of products this can quickly add up to a healthy revenue.
Last but not least, you can also earn money online by building an online community, although the monetization strategies you can pursue will vary a lot depending on your goals. You can build a community with a blog, for example. You can also build an online forum and charge people for membership. You could even build up a Facebook group and use your influence there to sell and promote products.
